It was not days old news when Google the internet giant announced to jump in the arena of information sharing based on the famed Wikipedia model (user generated information pool). Google has been the web pioneer (not the innovator), and Knol has added a new chapter in it's successful journey. Popularizing Knol will not be a tough job for Google, being the most used search engine, Knol search results in Google web search will expand its reach and will make people aware of the new unit of knowledge.
